The following teams traveled to the Sanford I Berman Debate Tournament, held on the campus of UNLV in Las Vegas, NV on the weekend of October 2-6, 2009:

Pumphrey/Weathers (PW)
Kennedy/Vincent (KV)
Abernathy/McCollum (AM)

Results for the tournament were as follows:

PW 3-4 in the Novice Division
KV 2-5 in the Open Division
AM 1-4 in the Open Division

We are also proud to announce that the team of PW qualified for the Octo-Finals.  They lost that round to Cal State Fullerton, but advancing to the elimination rounds was still quite an accomplishment, as neither debater on the team had ever participated in competitive switch-side policy debate at ANY level!
