By Plane. The Louisville International airport, Standiford Field (SDF), is served by all major airlines.
American Airlines is the official carrier for the Louisville DPS Meeting. The AA discounts are as follows:
- 10% discount for Coach Class and 15% for First Class for tickets purchased 30 days or more prior to travel date.
- 5% discount for Coach Class and 10% for First Class for tickets purchased 29 day or less prior to travel date.
To get the discount, please call the American Airlines Meeting Services at 1-800-433-1790 and provide the discount code 34N4AF. Their hours of operation are 5am to 12 midnight Central Time every day.The discount applies from the 3rd through the 17th of November 2004, for travel to Louisville, KY.

Background. Louisville is the international hub for United Parcel Service (UPS). Starting around midnight, a legion of 747s and other "brown tails" land in Louisville and unload a million or so packages. The automated sorting operation stretches as far as the eye can see, with minimal human intervention, and is an impressive sight. Around 4am, the planes load up and take off to destinations around the world.
By Car. Louisville is located in Kentucky on the Ohio river, at the intersection of I-64, I-65, and I-71. St. Louis is to the west, Indianapolis is to the north, Cincinnati is to the east, and Nashville is to the south.

Bus Service.
The Transit Authority of River City (TARC) is the bus system operating in Louisville, Jefferson and Oldham counties and Southern Indiana.
Buses run from 4am until 2am. Adult cash fare is $1.00. If you intend to ride the bus often, you can save money by purchasing a booklet of tickets. The Fare Saver is $7.50 for ten tickets.
