Hotline User Guidelines
University of Louisville faculty and staff who have concerns of any kind stemming from possible noncompliance with government or external agency regulations, related university policies, and errors or irregularities in the university's financial accounting practices or policies can report them.
If you have information about unethical behavior, criminal activity or any other work-related concern, you should first speak with your supervisor or an employee in the university office that has oversight authority for the policy or law. Visit the Compliance Directory for a list of University Compliance Heads that are responsible for distinct policy areas.
This service is not a substitute for, nor does it supersede, any existing reporting methods or protocols already in place at the University of Louisville for reporting suspected problems or complaints. Instead, the Compliance Hotline provides an additional means of reporting such issues. Any suspected problems or complaints reported via the Compliance Hotline will be reviewed in accordance with current university policies and procedures, including those described in the University's "Code of Conduct." All reports of compliance issues will be handled in confidence to the extent practicable. Employees who report concerns in good faith will not be subjected to retaliation, retribution, or harassment.
Please note that disputes with supervisors, such as disagreements regarding performance evaluations or merit increases are not considered compliance issues. This type of concern should be addressed through normal UofL channels, beginning with a conversation with your supervisor and, if that does not resolve the issue, contacting Human Resources.
