President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll
For the second consecutive year University of Louisville made the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll. The 2009 award was given with distinction. The award annually recognizes institutions of higher education for their commitment to and achievement in community service. During the 2008-2009 academic year, an estimated 7,917 students engaged in some form of service, including some 5,713 who engaged in service through a course. Altogether, the students contributed an estimated 145,055 hours of service to the community.
