C. Peter Magrath University/Community Engagement Award
The C. Peter Magrath UniversityCommunity Engagement Award is presented at the annual Association of Public and Land Grant Universities (APLU) meeting in November. The award recognizes outstanding outreach and engagement partnerships between universities and the community. Regional winners receive a certificate and $6,000. Regional winners move up to compete in the national award, which includes a sculpture and a $20,000 prize.
Only two nominations can be submitted from each institution. The Office of the Vice President for Community Engagement requests a statement (500 words in length) from interested parties addressing numbers 2-6 in the nomination format. The deadline for project statements is February 11. Please submit all statements to email@example.com. A response will be provided within a week. A team from the University's Community Engagement Steering Committee will select the two nominations to be submitted to APLU.
The two projects selected will need to be submitted to APLU by March 21. Visit the C. Peter Magrath Award website for complete information on the award. The Office of Community Engagement will assist where possible in completing the final submissions. Please contact Dr. Henry Cunningham at firstname.lastname@example.org or 852-8946 for more information.
