2010-2011 Community Service Hours

In 2009, the university was recognized nationally as a school of distinction by the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.  The university's Office of Community Engagement estimates that 12,355 students completed 270,900 hours of community service in 2009-10.  UofL students were involved in projects involving at risk youth, health and nutrition, engineering, mentoring, tutoring, senior citizens services, and dropout prevention, just to name a few.
