REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE
To participate in the December 2013 University-wide Ceremony, you must do all of the following:
· Graduate at the end of the Summer or Fall semester 2013.
· File an approved online application for an August or December 2013 degree or have graduated in a previous term. File your application for a degree on ULink. For questions, see Diplomas or call the Registrar's Office 502-852-7325 or 502-852-6522.
· Order a cap and gown. Order your cap and gown before the deadline Thursday, October 31 at midnight. The cap and gown order list will be verified against the approved degree list and ceremony name call cards will be generated from the verified cap and gown list.
· Attend rehearsal. All students attending the University-wide ceremony are required to attend rehearsal on Wednesday evening, December 18, 2013. See Rehearsal in the left menu. PhD, EdD, and AuD students attending the SIGS Doctoral Hooding Ceremony do not rehearse prior to the Hooding ceremony.
NOTE: Name listing in the Program Book is generated from the approved degree list. Name call cards and line-up/seating arrangements are generated from the online cap and gown order list.
If you order a cap and gown and find that you are not eligible to graduate or cannot attend the ceremony, please contact our office BEFORE the October 31st deadline and a credit may be issued. After the deadline has passed, bachelor and master students must pick-up the apparel from the Red Barn during distribution and use the apparel in a subsequent ceremony. Unfortunately, PhD-AuD-EdD students will not be given a refund for rental apparel after the deadline has passed, nor will apparel be furnished without cost in a subsequent ceremony. Information on the May 2014 ceremony will be available from this web site in January 2014.
Questions? If you have any questions regarding your eligibility to graduate, contact your school/college advisor or Dean's Office.
Commencement ceremony information will be posted and updated periodically on this web site.
