Special Needs Students
If you need special accomodations due to a disability to participate in Commencement, contact the Office of Enrollment Management, (502) 852-6528, no later than November 1, 2009.
Signing and Interpreting Services
Signing/interpreting services will be part of the Commencement Ceremony. Graduates needing individual signing/interpreting services may contact the Disability Resource Center at (502) 852-4754.
Wheelchair Seating for Guest
A special area will be provided on the right side of the floor level seating, immediately behind the faculty section in Exhibit Hall 2CD. This area will have space for wheelchairs with a chair for one attendant per wheelchair. A sign will mark the area.
Accessible Restrooms
KICC has accessible restrooms located throughout the facility.
Emergency Medical Assistance
Emergency medical services staff will be available in the "ticket room" in the Riverside Lobby and in the northwest corner of Hall CD. A sign will be placed at each location. The Riverside Lobby is on the ground floor level and may be entered from Third Street. Hall CD is on the second level and is the site of the commencement ceremony. This service is provided by the American Red Cross, and will include calls for emergency vehicles.
Alternate Format for Commencement Program Books
Commencement program books for the University-wide ceremony, printed in Braille, may be obtained by graduates by special request. A copy may be requested by contacting the Disability Resource Center at (502) 852-4754, no later than October 1, 2009.
