Our Medical Geneticists are faculty physicians with special training in diagnosing and managing genetic conditions in persons of all ages.
Genetic counselors are health professionals who help families understand genetic testing, the cause of genetic conditions, and the implications for other family members.
Newborn Screening is managed by a registered nurse who coordinates follow-up testing for infants with abnormal screening results.

Kelly Jackson, MS, CGC earned her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh in 1994. She has been at the Weisskopf Child Evaluation Center (WCEC) since September 2005 after providing genetic services for several years at Tulane University in New Orleans. Kelly has been board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling since 1996. In addition to participating in the general Genetics Clinic at the WCEC, Kelly provides genetic counseling in the monthly Pediatric Neurogenetics Clinic held in conjunction with the pediatric neurologists. Kelly helps coordinate outreach clinics in Henderson, Carlisle, and McCracken counties. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) and the American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG). Within NSGC, she is co-chair of the Metabolic-Lysosomal Storage Disorder special interest group (SIG) and a member of the Cancer Genetics SIG.
Pamela Brock, MS, CGC earned her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005 and has been with the Weisskopf Child Evaluation Center (WCEC) since June of that year. Pamela has been board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling since 2007. In addition to participating in the general Genetics Clinic at the WCEC, Pamela provides genetic counseling services at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center and at the Norton Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic located in the Children's Foundation Building. Pamela helps coordinate outreach clinics in Hopkins, Carlisle, and McCracken counties. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) and, within NSGC, is a member of the Cancer Genetics and Pediatrics special interest groups (SIG).
Kathyrn Platky Warren, MS, CGC earned her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2007 and has been with the Weisskopf Child Evaluation Center (WCEC) since June of that year. Kathryn has been board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling since 2009. In addition to participating in the general Genetics Clinic at the WCEC, Kathryn provides genetic counseling services at the monthly Movement Disorders Clinic held in conjunction with the University of Louisville Movement Disorder Program located in the Frazier Rehab and Neuroscience Center. She also provides genetic counseling services at the University of Louisville Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic located in the Ambulatory Care Building. Kathryn helps coordinate outreach clinics in Warren and Hardin counties. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) and, within NSGC, is a member of the Neurogenetics special interest groups (SIG).
Cecilia Rajakaruna, MS, CGC earned her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009 and has been with the Weisskopf Child Evaluation Center (WCEC) since June of that year. Cecilia has been board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling since 2011. In addition to participating in the general Genetics Clinic at the WCEC, Cecilia provides genetic counseling services at the University of Louisville Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic located in the Ambulatory Care Building and at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. Cecilia helps coordinate the outreach clinic in Barren county. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC).
Katharine Stoate, MS, CGC recently earned her Master of Science in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College in 2010 and has been with the Weisskopf Child Evaluation Center (WCEC) since September of that year. Katharine has been board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling since 2011. In addition to participating in the general Genetics Clinic at the WCEC, Katharine provides genetic counseling services at the twice monthly Craniofacial Clinic held at the Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs (CCSHCN). She also provides genetic counseling services at the Norton Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic located in the Children's Foundation Building. Katharine helps coordinate the outreach clinics in Henderson, Hopkins and McCracken counties. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC).
Jessica Wetherbee-Landis, MS, CGC earned her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from Northwestern University in 2007 and has been with the Weisskopf Child Evaluation Center (WCEC) since June of that year. Jessica has been board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling since 2010. In addition to participating in the general Genetics Clinic at the WCEC, Jessica provides genetic counseling services at the monthly Marfan Syndrome Clinic held in conjunction with Pediatric Cardiology Associates. She also provides genetic counseling services at the Norton Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic located in the Children's Foundation Building. Jessica helps coordinate outreach clinics in Daviess and Hardin counties. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC).
Diana Pantalos, MS, RD, LD has been a pediatric dietitian for many years, including roles as a hospital, community, and home care nutritionist. She has been a metabolic nutritionist with the Genetics Unit at the Weisskopf Child Evaluation Center (WCEC) since 2006, with a special interest in fatty acid oxidation disorders. She also provides medical nutrition therapy to children at the WCEC with developmental and/or feeding disorders. Diana completed her degrees in human nutrition at the Ohio State University, and received additional training in pediatric nutrition at Indiana University. She is a licensed dietitian in the state of Kentucky, and is a registered by the American Dietetic Association, including participation in the Pediatric Nutrition special interest group. Diana is a member of Genetic and Metabolic Dietitians International.
