Research Interests
Fan’s research interest is in the application of stable isotope-resolved metabolomics (SIRM) in combination with transcriptomics for probing metabolic regulation and adaptation in model cells, model organisms and human in response to cancer development, therapeutics and environmental perturbations. Her present areas of research focus include deciphering distinct lung and breast cancer metabolism for developing early diagnostic markers and novel metabolic drug targets, and unraveling molecular mechanism underlying the toxic action of chemopreventive agents and metabolic inhibitors.
