Chemistry & Structural Biology Research Experiences for Undergraduates (CSB-REU)
The University of Louisville Department of Chemistry is proud to be a National Science Foundation funded Research Experiences for Undergraduates Site. Our mission is to provide a rich chemistry and structural biology research experience to undergraduates, in order to seed the next generation of scientists in these fields.
Program Description
Our REU Site offers research and scientific writing experience, professional development workshops, industrial site visits and career information about the myriad arenas that encompass the modern chemical sciences. The 10-week Program will expose 10 students to cutting-edge research in Chemistry & Structural Biology and offer enrichment seminars, educational workshops and intriguing field trips to nearby chemical industries.

Eligibility - Students must be:
U.S. Citizens of permanent residents of the U.S. or its territories.
Enrolled in a degree program leading to a baccalaureate degree.
Available for the duration of the program (May 29 - Aug. 3, 2012).
Possess a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher (on a 4-point scale).

Stipend, Travel, Housing
Students who participate in the Program will receive a $5000 stipend for the 10-week period, housing paid by the University of Louisville, and travel support from their home institution.
