The Goals

Increase federal research funding to more than $40 million annually and increase total sponsored funding to $80 million a year

Since 1999, the university has upped its federal research funding from  $14.8 million to $74.5 million today and has increased its sponsored funding from $42.1 million to $178 million. U of L's NIH funding growth is the fastest in the nation among research universities.
