Be recognized as a national leader for linking its resources to the needs of the community

Since 1999, U of L has offered up its expertise to the community in ways too numerous to count. It has received national praise for several innovative partnerships, including Metropolitan College and Partnership for a Green City. U of L is preparing to launch the Signature Partnership, a program in which the university will provide substantial and wide-ranging support in health, education, social work and economic development to some of Louisville's most depressed neighborhoods.
