Win cool stuff while you celebrate

Could you use a new iPod? How about a year of free parking at U of L or tickets to the Big East basketball tournament?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above, Friday could be your lucky day.

The university is giving away those prizes and more in a special drawing at its Challenge for Excellence celebration on the Belknap Campus Oval from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. If you attend classes or work at U of L, all you have to do to enter is show up and register.

U of L is awarding the prizes to recognize the work of U of L faculty, staff and students toward meeting the Challenge, said President James Ramsey.

Among the items up for grabs:

-Six iPods, including two 30Gb models, two 2Gb Nanos and two 1Gb Shuffles

-One year of free university parking

-Two tickets to the March 2007 U of L Grawemeyer Award in Music Composition performance at Carnegie Hall and two tickets to the Big East men’s basketball tournament (if U of L takes part)

-Two tickets to a Cardinals football home game

-Two tickets to a Cardinals basketball home game

-Football signed by coach Bobby Petrino

-Basketball signed by coach Rick Pitino

-Gift certificates to Old Stone Inn, Volare, T.G.I. Fridays restaurants

-Two $25 gift certificates from the U of L bookstore

-Two $25 gift certificates from Gray’s Bookstore

-12 calendar planners from College Book Warehouse

The prize drawing will take place at 1 p.m. on the steps in front of Grawemeyer Hall. Winners will be asked to show a U of L ID before receiving their prize. Don’t miss this chance to get lucky!
