About

Kelly Kinahan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urban and Public Affairs. Her research focuses urban revitalization, historic preservation, and community and economic development. Dr. Kinahan’s work has been published in Urban Studies, the Journal of Planning Literature, and Economic Development Quarterly. She holds a Ph.D. in Urban Studies and Public Affairs from Cleveland State University.

Kelly is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. She previously worked as a planner for Henrico County, Virginia. Kelly teaches courses in Master of Urban Planning program including, neighborhood planning, planning theory and history, and the capstone studio.
