The Louisville Nature Center is holding the first 2014 Restore the Forest workday on Sat. March 1, from 9:00am - 1:00pm. Spend the day in the great outdoors, learn about invasive species and help restore Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve, one of the Louisville's areas largest urban forests. We will be removing invasive plants, no experience is necessary. Volunteers must be over the age of 18 or accompanied by an adult. Scout troops, church and other volunteer groups are welcome. Bring your own gloves, loppers, hand tools and chain saws if you have them. Water and tools will be provided to those who don't have their own. Call the Nature Center at 458-1328 to sign up to help!
