Public Meeting: Future use of old National Tobacco site at 30th and W. Market

The public input meeting is set for Tuesday, March 5th at 6:00pm at the Academy at Shawnee in the Auditorium. It is sponsored by Councilwoman Hamilton, Mayor Greg Fischer, and Louisville Metro’s Economic Growth and Innovation Department (EGI). There will be a short presentation on the site’s history and the future potential it has for the area.

“Depending on the development of this project, this tract of land could be the trigger for jobs and spur economic development along the West Market Street Corridor and the revitalization of West Louisville” says Councilwoman Hamilton. “That is why input from area residents and stakeholder’s is critical to the project’s overall success in the development of this valuable property.”
