The University of Louisville and Jefferson Community & Technical College are proud to co-host the 6th annual Campus-Community Partnerships for Sustainability conference, highlighting this year’s theme of Cross-Pollination, November 1-3, 2012!
CCPS brings together students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners from around Kentucky and the region to network, celebrate our achievements, and exchange ideas and best practices in sustainability.
We invite proposals from faculty, staff, students, and community partners for presentations, panels, posters, field trips, hands-on demonstrations and/or workshops covering any of the following themes:
- Food, agriculture
- Water issues
- Education for Sustainability
- Energy
- Culture & Indigenous wisdom
- Green Architecture & Design
- The Arts & Media
- Waste management
- Social & Environmental Justice
- Biodiversity and Ecosystem Restoration
- Transportation and Land Use
- Healing and Human Health
- Green Economy, Investing, & Business
If you've got ideas, model projects, best practices, or lessons-learned to share, please submit to our Call for Proposals no later than September 15, 2012.
Our goal is to provide a collaborative space – a hive of activity – that unites passionate people and transformational ideas for a future built on greater environmental, social and economic responsibility.
This year CCPS will be cross-pollinating with Bluegrass Bioneers to create four days rich with ideas and inspiration and we'll be bridging the two gatherings with an unforgettable Interdisciplinary Sustainability Symposium funded with the help of UofL's Liberal Studies Department. We invite you to participate in any and all of the following:
- Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 1-3 – Campus Community Partnerships for Sustainability Conference (JCTC and UofL). Call for Proposals
- Thursday-Friday, Nov. 1-2 – Interdisciplinary Sustainability Symposium (JCTC and UofL)
- Friday-Sunday, Nov. 2-4 – Bluegrass Bioneers (Strickler & Davidson Halls). Call for Proposals
