Caroline currently serves as the Acting Director, and previously served the CDC as the Associate Director of Employer Engagement. She has previous experience working as a Recruitment and Training Specialist for Horseshoe Casino & Hotel, a Talent Representative at Kforce, and in Career Services at other Louisville area colleges. Caroline received both a B.A. in Justice Administration and a M.S. in Justice Administration from UofL, and is currently pursuing a M.S. in Human Resources.
Program Assistant, Sr.
Laura manages much of the day-to-day operations of the CDC, including the check-in of students when they arrive for appointments. She has prior experience at UofL having served as the Director of the International Service Learning Program. Laura graduated from UofL with B.A.S. in Advertising Public Relations.
Mackenzie Adriance, M.Ed.
Mackenzie conducts career counseling for students in the College of Arts & Sciences who are exploratory or majoring in the social sciences. She has prior experience working at Ivy Tech Community College-Sellersburg as the Assistant Director of Career Services. Mackenzie from UofL with both a B.S. in Communication and a M.Ed. in Counseling and Personnel Services.
Karen Boston, M.Ed., C.D.F.
Karen career counsels students in the School of Dentistry, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and School of Public Health and Information Sciences. Prior to joining the CDC, Karen worked as an Academic Advisor for pre-nursing students at Indiana University-Southeast. Karen graduated with a B.S. in Public affairs from Indiana University-Bloomington and a M.Ed. in Counseling & Personnel Services from UofL.
Josh McKee, M.Ed.
Josh engages students in career counseling in the College of Education & Human Development and the Kent School of Social Work, and also oversees the collection of data, assessment, and reporting for the CDC. He has prior experience in the Office of Admission at UofL, and in the Center for Career & Professional Development at Clemson University. Josh earned his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and his M.Ed. in Counselor Education from Clemson University; he is also a Ph.D. candidate in Counseling & Personnel Services at UofL.
Rosie Shannon, M.S., C.D.F.
Rosie conducts career counseling for students in the School of Music and the College of Arts & Sciences who are majoring in the natural sciences and humanities. She previously worked in various roles at Indiana University-Southeast as an Academic Advisor and in the Career Development Center at IUS as an Internship Coordinator and Career Counselor. Rosie graduated with a B.S. in Buisiness Marketing from Ball State University and a M.S. in School Counseling from Indiana University-Southeast.
Erica conducts career counseling for students in the College of Arts & Sciences who are majoring in the natural sciences and humanities. She has prior experience in the Student Financial Aid Office at UofL and in the Career Development Center and Academic Center for Exploratory Students at Indiana University-Southeast. Erica earned her B.S. in Psychology from Indiana University-Southeast; she is currently pursuing her M.Ed. in Counseling & Personnel Services.
Ron helps students through the internship search process, and serves as the instructor for the CDC's internship course. He previously served Kentucky State University as the Communications Coordinator for the Division of External Relations & Development. Ron graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a B.A. in Public Relations and Illinois State University with a M.S. in College Student Personnel Administration.
Stuart Esrock, Ph.D.
Internship Liaison, Associate Professor
Stuart serves as the faculty liaison for the CDC, and is also an Associate Professor in the Communication Department. He has more than 20 years of experience working with employers and students on internships, and also previously supervised student interns at broadcast and advertising companies. Stuart graduated with a B.J. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri, a M.S. in Advertising from the University of Kansas, and a Ph.D. in Mass Communications from Bowling Green State University.
Employer Engagement Coordinator
Aimee assists students throughout the part-time and full-time job search processes; she also serves as the point of contact for employers interested in recruiting UofL students. She has prior experience working event management at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana and the Louisville Palace. Aimee graduated from UofL with a B.S. in Communication and Media Studies, and from Bellarmine University with a M.A. in Communication.
Ron assists students with locating part-time and full-time positions. He has prior experience working as an Enrollment Advisor for Santa Fe University of Art and Design and as a Senior Recruiter for Robert Half Technology. Ron graduated from Bluffton University with a B.A. in Communication and is a current M.Ed. student in Counseling & Personnel Services at UofL.
