Premiums and Coverage
2008-2009 Student Health Insurance
Like many organizations seeking to provide affordable health insurance, the University of Louisville has faced significant cost increases from its insurance providers. As a result, the university undertook a comprehensive review of the coverage plan with the goal of providing quality, affordable health insurance to students. We are pleased to announce that we have chosen Academic Health Plans (AHP) as our vendor for our new insurance program.
Cost of the AHP Student Health Plan
The cost for the 2008-2009 student health plan will be $1750 annually. This is $70 less than 2007-08 but with improved coverage.
There will not be a separate bill for a primary health care fee. Students with student health insurance will no longer have to complete the online waiver process but will have the same access to the campus health service as in previous years.
