Insurance and Fees
Student Insurance Plan and Premiums
Health Services charges for the services it provides to the students, faculty and staff within the university. Only students in the Schools of Nursing, Dentistry and Medical are required to pay a program-specific health fee and have major medical insurance, including students enrolled in the Audiology and Speech Pathology programs.
We strongly urge all students to consider purchasing major medical health insurance if you are currently uninsured. The University of Louisville is pleased to have partnered with Academic Health Plans for the 2008-09 academic year to provide a student accident and insurance plan to meet the needs of the student body
The university-sponsored student insurance program is available to all students who meet the following criteria:
- All undergraduate students who are currently enrolled for 6 or more hours
- Graduate and doctoral students who are in degree status for up to 9 months
- All international students
- Eligible dependents and spouses
