Esther Knapp, M.D., M.B.E. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Louisville, where she is also affiliated with the Institute for Bioethics, Health Policy and Law.  Dr. Knapps’ research focuses on pediatric ethics with a special focus on ethical issues in pediatric precision oncology and pediatric stem cell transplantation.  Dr. Knapp is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist with expertise in stem cell transplants.  She practices at the U of L Physicians Pediatrics Cancer and Blood Disorders Clinic. She also provides inpatient care and serves on the ethics committee at Norton Children’s Hospital. Dr. Knapp completed her residency in pediatrics at New York-Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center and received a Master’s in Bioethics from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
