The Institute for Democracy and Development

The mission of the Institute of Democracy and Development (IDD) is to promote research, while providing teaching, learning and service opportunities to the community of faculty, staff and students at the University of Louisville on issues related to democracy and development.  Through singular and collaborative efforts, IDD exists to cultivate new knowledge about the process of democratic development in a diverse, rapidly changing world.
 

University Press of Kentucky

University Press of Kentucky represents a consortium that now includes all of Kentucky’s state universities, five of its private colleges, and two historical societies.  UPK serves Bellarmine University, Berea College, Centre College of Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky University, The Filson Historical Society, Georgetown College, Kentucky Historical Society, Kentucky State University, Morehead State University, Murray State University, Northern Kentucky University, Transylvania University, University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, and Western Kentucky University.  Each constituent institution is represented on a statewide editorial board, which determines editorial policy.

U of L Political Science Department

The Political Science faculty are dedicated to teaching undergraduate and graduate students. While learning is primarily the responsibility of each student, every faculty member teaches, advises and in other ways assists students in the learning process. The faculty represent a wide diversity in areas of expertise and scholarship, and provide students with a thorough grounding in both academic and "real world" politics. Students will explore both classical and contemporary political science.

U of L Chinese Studies Program

Enhance the scope of your bachelor's degree with a minor in Chinese Studies. This program compliments majors such as Political Science, Humanities, Geography, Language, or History and opens job opportunities in many fields.

U of L International Center

The International Center serves as the clearinghouse and information center in matters relating to international education. It is the University's focal point for the administration, coordination, and facilitation of activities that seek to fulfill the internationalization goals of the University of Louisville.
