2007 Beijing Workshop at the Chinese Communist Party School in Beijing
CAD's China project has started with five American scholars giving lectures at Chinese Communist Party School (CCPS) in Beijing from December 13 through 21, 2007. These scholars are: Jasmine Farrier, Shiping Hua, David Imbroscio, Ronald Vogel from the Department of Political Science at UofL and Russell Riley from the University of Virginia. The topics they lectured on include: "separation of powers," "legislative theories," "federalism," "congress," and "presidency." About 30 Chinese legislators and scholars from CCPS and other provinces of Anhui, Shanxi and Sichuan attended the workshop. CCPS, with its President being Zeng Qinghong, Vice President of the People's Republic of China, trains China's top leaders.
