The project, a collaboration among the Crane House, the University of Louisville, and Jefferson County Public Schools, was fully funded by a federal grant, the STARTALK Initiative (part of the National Security Initiatives for Critical Need Languages). As the Lead Teacher of the project, Dr. Zeng developed the curriculum which was approved by the grant management, conducted a professional training for bilingual associate instructors, and supervised ancoordinated the daily classroom activities, cultural assemblies, and so on throughout the camp.
