On a recent trip to China on December 15, 2007, Dr. Shiping Hua, CAD Director, gave a keynote speech at the Opening Session of the Second National Forum of Chinese Young Political Scientists hosted by Chinese University of Political Science and Law in Beijing.  In the speech, Dr. Hua compared the discipline of political science in the Western and Chinese context. 

On December 28, 2007, Dr. Shiping Hua was interviewed by China Central Television (Channel 9) on Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda’s visit to China. “For many leaders in Asian countries, the United States is the least unwelcome superpower in the region.  If these leaders have to choose between the United States and Japan, they are more likely to choose the United States.”  To view the interview, please click here.
