GHS - HAZCOM Changes

OSHA requires that employees that work with and around chemicals, including such items as; lab chemicals, bleach, cleaners, disinfectants, paints, thinners, glues, degreasers, and compressed gases complete GHS training by December 1, 2013.

You must attend GHS training if:

  • Your job requires either that you are in and around laboratories, or work in offices that support laboratories
  • You work in custodial, maintenance, or warehousing
  • You participate in any  patient care activities or clinics
  • You work in buildings or departments that store or use chemicals
