2014 SBIR-STTR Annual Conference - April 11

What is the SBIR-STTR Program?

The Federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program is a highly competitive program that encourages small businesses in The United States to engage in high risk technological innovation that has the potential for commercialization.

What is at stake?

The Federal Government invests approximately $2.5 Billion each year in Phase I and Phase II SBIR-STTR awards.  The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation, invests an additional $5.5 Million in KY SBIR-STTR Assistance program initiatives, stimulating the submission of competitive proposals.

The Conference

Conference speakers will cover basic facts regarding the Federal SBIR/STTR program as well as Kentucky's own SBIR/STTR Assistance opportunitties.  Program managers from at least five (5) Federal Agencies will present on their agency-specific programs and be available for one-on-one meetings with conference attendees.
