Digging in soil

UofL researchers and students are really digging bacteria.

Biology Professor Paul Himes and some of his students are looking for soil bacteria that might be used to help grow plants on brownfield (polluted) sites. Prof. Himes hopes that the good soil bacteria they find will open up possibilities for expand production of food or biofuels.
