Admission as a Full-Time Student

Admission as a Full-Time Student at the University of Louisville Panama Undergraduate (PUG) Program at Quality Leadership University, Panama City

Students applying for status as a full-time student in the Panama Undergraduate (PUG) Program offered at Quality Leadership University are required to meet the University of Louisville’s standard admissions requirements.

All applicants for full-time student status must complete a University of Louisville paper application for undergraduate admission.  Printable versions of application materials are available here. Scroll to the bottom of the page for printable forms and instructions.

In addition to the admission application form, applicants who have graduated high school but have not attended college must provide

  • A complete, official copy of high school transcript showing date of graduation
    If no date of graduation is listed on the transcript, applicants must provide an official copy of the diploma showing date of graduation.
  • Notarized, English-language translations of all transcripts and diplomas not originally in English
    Transcripts from all non-Panamanian and non-U.S. high schools must be evaluated by Educational Credentials Evaluators, Inc. (ECE) (or World Education Services, Inc. (WES).  The evaluation must be sent directly from the evaluating agency to the University of Louisville.
  • A QLU-certified copy of official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) report
    Students must score 550 or higher on the paper-based TOEFL exam, 213 or higher on the computer-based exam, or 79 or higher on the web-based exam.  U.S. citizens are exempt from the TOEFL requirement.
  • No ACT or SAT report is required.

Applicants who wish to transfer fewer than 24 hours of college credit from another institution must provide, in addition to the above documents,

  • Official or certified transcripts for all college work attempted or earned
    Transcripts must show a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better for transfer into the College of Arts and Sciences, 3.0 or better for eventual transfer into the College of Business.
  • Notarized, English-language translations of all transcripts not originally in English
    Transcripts from all non-U.S. colleges must be evaluated by Educational Credentials Evaluators, Inc. (ECE) (or World Education Services, Inc. (WES).  The evaluation must be sent directly from the evaluating agency to the University of Louisville.
  • Students who have completed English 101 with a grade of “C” or higher at a U.S. college or university are exempt from the TOEFL requirement.

Applicants who wish to transfer more than 24 hours of college credit from another institution are not required to submit high school transcripts or diplomas, but must submit official or certified transcripts for all college work attempted or earned and proof of English proficiency, as outlined above.
