The IEI Program began in Fall of 2009, with four interns:
- Heather Cruikshank (Fall semester only)
- Silvia Gozzini, Sociology and Psychology major
- Emily Nordling, English and History major with a concentration in creative fiction
- Isaiah Wiles, Liberal Studies major with a concentration in Social Change
