Did You Know


The College of Arts & Sciences will welcome 23 new professors in the 2015-2016 academic year. Ranging from the English Department to the Departments of Chemistry and Criminal Justice, they will bring varied research interests and enthusiasm to A&S. Prof. Carothers selected to participate in public art project

Prof. Mary Carothers (Fine Arts) was selected as one of five artists to participate in Connect/Disconnect, a public art exhibition in Louisville that will take place this fall. The project, in conjunction with the Commission on Public Art (COPA), has invited artists to transform a site at the Ohio River through temporary public art installations.

Hite alum receives Arts Council fellowship
Douglas Miller, a fine arts department alumnus, was awarded a $7,500 Al Smith Individual Artist Fellowship by the Kentucky Arts Council. This prestigious award is named in honor of former arts council chair and Kentucky journalist Al Smith and given by the Kentucky Arts Council.
