Curriculum Committee Minutes

January 18, 2006

The minutes of the meeting of January 11 were corrected to reflect the attendance of Professor Parkhurst. With that correction, the minutes were approved as distributed.

The following course changes were approved, effective Summer 2006. (Graduate courses must also be approved by the Graduate School.)

PAS 331/WGST 349: Color Complex of Black Women (new course)

HIST 315: American Constitutional History I (for WR credit)

HIST 316: American Constitutional History II (for WR credit)

SPAN 202: Continuing Spanish II (title change)

SPAN 522: Spanish Phonetics and Diction (title/description/prerequisite change)

 

Prerequisite changes were approved to SPAN 401, 402, 403, 404, 523, and 590.

 

The following courses were approved, effective upon receipt of revisions to syllabi to indicate the grading scale in the courses:

ART 311: Intro to Glassmaking Techniques (new course)

ART 511: Advanced Glassmaking (new course)

ART 611: Workshop in Glass (new course)

HUM 689: Reading for Comprehensive Examinations (new course) was approved, effective upon receipt of additional information for the Graduate School.

 

Changes were approved to the degree requirements in Political Science.

 

Changes were approved to the degree requirements in Spanish.
