"New Light on the Bronze Age: Ancient Shipwrecks and Sunken Cargoes from the Eastern Mediterranean"
Dr. John Hale, Director of Liberal Studies in A&S, will deliver a talk on September 19, 2013 at 6pm in the Chao Auditorium of Ekstrom Library. Presented by the Kentucky Society of the Archaeological Institute of America, "New Light on the Bronze Age: Ancient Shipwrecks and Sunken Cargoes from the Eastern Mediterranean" is free and open to the public.
About Dr. Hale
Dr. John R. Hale is the Director of Liberal Studies at the University of Louisville. He earned his B.A. at Yale University and his Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge in England. Professor Hale teaches introductory courses on archaeology, as well as more specialized courses on the Bronze Age, the ancient Greeks, the Roman world, Celtic cultures, the Vikings, and nautical and underwater archaeology.
