"Meet the Professor" - Professor Russell Vandenbroucke, "Peace Studies Primer"

Russell Vandenbroucke, Professor and Chair of the Theatre Arts Department, has directed a wide range of plays from Sophocles to Ibsen to Arnold Wesker.  As a playwright he is the author of Feiffer's America, Eleanor: In Her Own Words, Atomic Bombers, and Holiday Memories among others.  Dr. Vandenbroucke's lifelong commitment to peace and justice is reflected in many of the plays he has written, directed and produced.  This presentation will draw on his travels and research in Peace and Conflict Studies in Bangkok and the Kroc Institute for International Peace.

Admission ($14 per person/cash or check) includes lunch.  Reservations are required at least 3 days prior to the event.

"Meet the Professor" lectures are presented by the University of Louisville College of Arts and Sciences and the Liberal Studies Project as part of the "First Thursdays" monthly Lunch and Lecture series.
