Dennis Hall, Professor of English and expert on Popular Culture, will offer an analysis of the enduringly popular public TV show in terms of its carefully observed ritual practices between the person bringing the object for appraisal, the appraiser, and a consideration of what constitutes "value" in these circumstances.
Admission ($14 per person/ check or cash) includes lunch. Reservations are required at least 3 days prior to the event.
"Meet the Professor' lectures are presented by the University of Louisville College of Arts and Sciences and the Liberal Studies Project as part of the "First Thursdays" monthly Lunch & Lecture series.
