Avery Kolers, Professor of Philosophy and Director of Social Change Minor, has research interests in political philosophy and theories of justice. His talk will address the global climate change not only as an environmental problem but as a fundamentally moral question as the number of climate refugees from coastal cities and deserts regions increases every year. The vast inequalities within and between the nations must be addressed if we are to find solutions to this critical problem.
Admission ($14 per person / cash or check) includes lunch. Reservations are required at least 3 days prior to the event.
"Meet the Professor" lectures are presented by the University of Louisville College of Arts and Sciences and the Liberal Studies Project as part of the "First Thursdays" monthly Lunch and Lecture series.
