Dr. Shannon McMullen's ongoing research interests and artistic endeavors investigate changing relations between nature and technology, the creation of installations to produce temporary socio-democratic spaces and public visual cultures. In this talk, McMullen will discuss her ongoing collaborative project National Security Garden and introduce her new project Viewing Narratives, Voicing Alternatives as a way to highlight artistic strategies/aesthetic act of a form of critical interdisciplinary inquiry.
