Paralegal Studies Program Emergency Plan
H1N1-Emergency Plan – Paralegal Studies Program
Submitted by Marsha Shields, Director Paralegal Studies Program
Paralegal Studies is staffed almost exclusively with part-time faculty. All have learned to post their syllabi on Blackboard, and can be quickly brought up to speed by the Delphi Center or departmental staff on utilization of Blackboard’s grade book function, use of discussion board, and how to post lecture notes on Blackboard. All have agreed to notify their classes of flexibility in allowing make up work and exams, and will develop ways for students to make up missed class participation/attendance points in case of flu-related illness.
Communication between students/faculty/staff will be through Blackboard, email, and/or telephone. The program director and at least two of the part time faculty have offered to step in to substitute for other instructors should illness strike.
Backup to the Director would be provided by the Department of Political Science Chair, Dr. Ron Vogel and Political Science Office staff.
Web site is updated by the Political Science Dept. Program Assistant, Jessica Kidd. If Jessica Kidd fell ill, Marsha Shields would update the web site as needed.
