WGS Emergency Plan

1. Student absences: Since the recommendation is that people with flu symptoms stay home, faculty will be more lenient this semester when dealing with unexcused absences and also with allowing make-up work.

2. Faculty absences: Faculty will contact Jan Rayburn (WGS Program Specialist) to request that she post a notice of the absence on the classroom door. Faculty will contact their students via BlackBoard to notify them of an absence and to let them know of any syllabus changes related to the absence.

4. In the event of the chair’s absence, the chair will notify the office and the faculty. Any business that cannot wait till the chair’s return will be handled by the Undergraduate Advisor, Dawn Heinecken.
