Cancellation of specific classes
If instructors cannot teach due to illness, the Chair will be notified initially.  If possible, the Chair will make alternative arrangements to cover the class by making use of BlackBoard, other faculty, or graduate assistants.  If the Chair determines that alternative arrangements are not feasible and a class must be cancelled, students will be notified and kept up-to-date using BlackBoard’s email facility.  If at all possible, students will be given assignments to work on in the event that class is cancelled.

Notification of Dean’s Office
The Chair or his back up will also keep the Dean’s Office informed as requested in the College of Arts and Sciences Flu Emergency Plan.
