Community Engagement Award

OVERVIEW

The Community Engagement Award is presented to a faculty member and a staff member in the College of Arts and Sciences whose work encompasses outstanding research, curricular engagement, and/or service with a community partner. Nominations will be accepted from faculty, staff, administrators, and/or community partners.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Faculty and staff of the College of Arts & Sciences.

WHAT IS AWARDED?

$500 and a plaque-mounted certificate.

TOTAL AWARDS

2 (submit one nomination packet per nominee per category) Faculty, Staff

CRITERIA

  • Must promote the College of Arts and Sciences, through partnerships with community organizations on projects that enhance the quality of life for residents.
  • Project/s may not involve direct fee for services (recipient’s work goes beyond their job description or work responsibilities)

Please include in your nomination: 

  • Must list the community partner/s involved in the project/s and length of time of the partnership (longevity). 
  • Must demonstrate that the project/s offer a range of services.
