On the way to Huaraz, Perú This picture was taken on the way to Huaraz. The bus ride was 8 hours and we stopped a few times to view some of what Peru had to offer. Where this picture was actually taken was on top of a buried city caused by an earthquake. The earthquake caused the surrounding mountains to come tumbling down burring a mass amount of people. This happened in the 1980's and now-a-days there is a great monument built on top in memory of those involved in this tragedy. The steeple that is seen in this picture is all that can be seen of a church that is now buried underneath. The snow cap mountains are what Huaraz are known for. Sitting above 10,000 ft above sea level, the mountains provide great ice climbing and extreme sports.

“Basque Country, Fuenmayor, Spain” The Basque Country was a truly different, and great, experience from the norms of Spain. Doesn't look quite like a Spanish city, eh? Well, the Basque Country inhibits it all; a great, cold landscape as well as a very independent culture and splendid history... not a bad view, either.
Image #38
“Huaraz, Perú” This picture was taken in the middle of the Andes Mountains standing on the shore of one of the Lagoon of Llanganuco. For a small fee you were allowed to get in one of these small boats and travel out and see how clear and bone chilling the water is. As you can tell in the picture the water looks as if it was full of food coloring because of how clear it is. The boats in this picture are actually still in the water. It looks as if the boats have been pulled up on the shore but since the water is so clear and stagnant the boats are actually resting in the water.
