ARTS AND SCIENCES GRADUATION CHECKLIST

 If you are a student within the College of Arts and Sciences, you will need to complete the following steps in order to progress towards graduation and graduate from the University of Louisville.

During your freshmen and sophomore year at UofL:

STEP #1:         Meet with your academic advisor to discuss program of interest.  If your program of interest lies outside the College of Arts and Sciences, make sure you fill out an Intra-University Transfer form to transfer into the College of your choice.

STEP #2:         Declare your Major(s) and/or Minor(s).  Make sure you meet the minimum admission requirement, if any, before submitting your application.

STEP #3:         Visit the Career Development Center to receive assistance in choosing a major and/or career path.

During your junior and/or senior year at UofL:

STEP #4:         Once admitted to your program of interest, you should meet regularly with your

Faculty academic advisor to make sure you keep on course.  Also, you will need to submit your application for a Preliminary Degree Check after you have completed at least 90 hours.

During your senior year at UofL:

STEP #5:         Meet with your Faculty academic advisor to discuss final academic preparation for

graduation.

STEP #6:             Use Symplicity to post your resume and look for possible employment opportunities.

STEP #7:         Log onto ULink to apply for graduation at the beginning of the semester in which you intend to graduate.

Deadlines:

STEP #8:         Review the Commencement web site for information and deadlines.

STEP #9:         Attend the Graduation Fair.

STEP #10:       Purchase your cap and gown by the deadline for the Fall or Spring Commencement Ceremony.**

STEP #11:       Attend the Fall or Spring Commencement Ceremony Rehearsal.**

STEP #12:       Attend the Fall or Spring University-wide Commencement and Individual College ceremonies.**

**Summer graduates are invited to participate in the Fall Commencement.
