Major Requirements

Functional fluency in ASL and basic interpreting competencies (must have completed ASL 101, 102, 201, 202 and ITP 115, 215, 220); GPA: 2.25 overall and 3.0 in ASL/ITP courses.

  • Students must submit an application and a portfolio to the Art Department in order to take studio arts courses (except in special situations). Admission is selective. Please consult the Department of Fine Arts for details.

  • Submit a written proposal of degree program for approval by the Liberal Studies Committee. This proposal must be approved by Dr. John Hale before the applicant can be accepted as an approved Liberal Studies major.
