Foundations Program
The Foundations program at the Allen R. Hite Art Institute serves as the core for all studio areas of concentration. Intended to provide a strong background in the basic principles of art, it consists of four studio courses: Its purpose is to prepare students for advanced study in any of the studio disciplines and to help them develop a professional attitude about art.
All foundation classes at the Institute are taught by professional artists, designers and architects. Computer technology is an integral part of the foundations curriculum, with relevant projects in foundation two-dimensional design, color design and three-dimensional design classes using our 20-station Macintosh foundation computer lab.
