Open Studio Weekend
The University of Louisville Hite Art Institute and The Louisville Visual Art Association (LVAA), present Louisville's first-ever Open Studio Weekend. Open Studio Weekend provides a focused opportunity for art patrons and art lovers of all ages to visit nearly 70 local artist's studios. Much like a home and garden tour, this will be a ticketed event. A select group of nearly seventy (70) of Louisville Metro's top artists will open their studios to the public on Saturday, Nov. 9 and Sunday, Nov. 10. Proceeds from the weekend will help fund $50,000 for scholarships to the Hite Art Institute's Mary Spencer Nay Scholarship and the LVAA's Children's Fine Art Classes (CFAC) Program.

Other cities have found this type of event to be a fun, educational, and successful way to bring artists and the public together. All 70 artists will be offering their work for sale during Open Studio Weekend tour dates. The LVAA and Hite Art Institute hope this will be a new, fun and innovative way to open the creative process to new patrons of all ages, and from across the region.
