Jim Snodgrass: A Creative Life is an exhibition about engaging creativity over a lifetime curated by 2012 Masters candidate Solveig Espe Slavin-Olson. James Grove Snodgrass was born in 1929 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He received his BFA from Herron Art Institute in Indianapolis. He has worked as a painter and sculptor in New York City, Indianapolis, and Louisville and shown his work in esteemed shows across the Nation. He currently resides on his Corydon farm in Kentucky where he continues to paint, take commissions from clients, and work with restoration and framing.
"Jim's complex mental pathways shape his visual images and enable our perceptions. His own words further reinforce our discoveries. Jim's artwork connects memory to perception, his musings disclose where memory and imagination meet."
- Solveig Espe Slavin-Olson, curator
