Description: An exhibition featuring candidates for the MA degree in Studio Art from the Hite Art Institute. Brandon Dyer will present a collection of work representing over two years of creating original narrative prints that tell a moral. He writes "I have created a fable telling the story of a flawed hero who must face his fears in order to not only save his love and her empire from an evil warlock but to save himself." Karen Habeeb's work primarily involves 2D abstract compositions in fabrics reclaimed from discarded clothing or other textiles, most often wool and linen. She writes "I believe that, like the clothes, we can all be remade into something useful and beautiful again." Deborah Levine is an artist and a knitter. She seeks to "find the best use for my materials, one that takes advantage of their characteristics while not forcing them to do something they cannot do." An opening reception will be held on Friday, November 15 at 6:00pm.
