Understanding the Program Forms
Program forms are below for all of the degrees offered in the Department of Fine Arts– the B.A. in Art History, the B.A. in Studio Art, and the B.F.A. programs in 2-D Studios, 3-D Studios, Interior Architecture, and Communication Art & Design.
Please do not hesitate to contact your advisor with any questions about requirements you do not understand. Not doing so could cause you to take courses you do not need and unneccesarily extend your stay at the University.
The General Education Requirements course list, the WR Requirements course list, and a list of Studio Art and Art History courses can be found on the A&S Advising website at http://louisville.edu/advising/units/as.html
Need a program form?
Blank program forms are available in the Fine Arts Office. The Fine Arts office also keeps copies of the Program sheet that Arts & Sciences Advising fills out and sends to us at the time you are accepted as a major. If you would like a copy of that program sheet, please come to the main office (104 Schneider Hall).
Unofficial Program Sheets
These unofficial program forms outline the courses required to graduate in each area. This in no way substitutes a meeting with your advisor. Requirements periodically change, course blocks may need to be lifted in order to register and specific courses are often offered only during certain times and semesters - a meeting with your advisor is the best way to plan your course of study. These forms are meant to be unofficial guides only.
